The shooting happened around 9 a.m., and at least two people have been shot according to a report by KERO-TV in Bakersfield.
Authorities said the suspect may have been a student and was taken into custody around 9:20 a.m. Officials have been going from room to room to secure the school.
One person has been airlifted to Kern County Medical Center and a second person has denied medical treatment, according to reports.
