A 57-year-old mentally ill man who was allegedly carrying a sword around a mobile home in Rohnert Park and threatening his roommates was arrested this morning, according to police.

At about 12:45 a.m., Rohnert Park officers were dispatched to the Rancho Feliz Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, occupants of the home informed officers that Michael Rosenberg was in his bedroom with a sword, Sgt. Jeff Justice said.

When officers opened the bedroom door, they found the man standing inside holding a "samurai" style sword.

Upon seeing the officers, Rosenberg raised the sword above his head in a threatening manner, according to police. When Rosenberg was ordered to drop the sword and didn't comply, officers tasered him, Justice said. Police collected numerous knives from his bedroom.

Rosenberg was booked into Sonoma County Jail for allegedly making death treats to his roommates, resisting officers and possession of an illegal knife.
