The apple moth threatens millions of dollars in farm products and more than 2,000 varieties of plants.
Spraying begins June 1 in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. Subsequent aerial treatments are to start August 1 in 11 cities stretching from Marin to the East Bay.
Informational meetings will be held in San Francisco and Oakland next week.
