Sitting in the back seat of William Johnson's car was a 6-foot alligator.
During the traffic stop, the trooper photographed the gator that crawled up into the rear window. Johnson told police he found the gator in the road and loaded it up into his Buick before breaking into a home.
Authorities have released the gator into a national wildlife refuge.
Johnson was charged with burglary and illegal possession of an alligator.
