The Share & Care Cockayne Syndrome Network
Cockayne Syndrome is a neurodegenerative disease that robs young children of all their milestones, causes terrible tremors and ataxia and takes their lives at a very young age. There are so few cases of this disease (only about 200-300 cases worldwide), that it has been difficult to generate enough interest and funding to get anyone to research the disease. They are hosting a nationwide (6 cities) walk-a-thon this May 24 to raise money for the cause.
