SF house fire caused 'extensive damage'

SAN FRANCISCO

The fire department received multiple calls around 2:15 a.m. about the blaze at 2709 Larkin St., according to fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge. The flames were controlled by about 4 a.m., Talmadge said.

No injuries were reported but the building was left uninhabitable and at least one person was displaced.

The fire does not appear suspicious although the cause remains under investigation, according to Talmadge.

Multiple high-rise buildings are located nearby but no other structures were threatened, Talmadge said.
