The Westin St. Francisc invites guests to The Unwind Hour
The Westin St. Francis is offering a new signature social experience, The Unwind Hour, featuring the tastes, sights and sounds of Napa Valley and beyond. Every Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. guests and the general public are invited to socialize in the warm, inviting environment of Caruso's, while sampling premier wines paired with fine hors d' oeuvres. Wines are provided by Icon Estates, encompassing a portfolio of 11 wineries representing the finest of California and around the world. A wine educator from Icon Estates is available every evening to provide guests with the opportunity to learn more about the wines and to encourage discussion.
The Unwind Hour is available for people ages 21 and over. The price of $15 per person includes a flight of three 2 oz. pours of wine, paired with gourmet hours d' oeuvres. For more information about The Unwind Hour, please contact email@example.com.

Recipes from Executive Chef Bernd Liebergesell
- 1 slice rye bread
- 1 slice sharp cheddar
- 1/2 lb. prosciutto de parma
Slice rye bread into sticks. Add olive oil and bake at 325 until golden brown. Let cool.
Rustically tear cheese into a small strip, place on top of bread and wrap prosciutto around.
- 1 cup lemon water
- 1 ea. avocado
- 1 ea. tomato, finely diced
- 1/4 ea. red onion
- 2 tsp. cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/4 jalapeno, finely minced
- Lemon Juice
- Salt and pepper
Scoop individual avocado rounds with Parisian scoop, place in lemon water until ready to use.
Add tomato, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno, lemon juice, salt and pepper and mix well.
Remove one of the avocado rounds and scoop a small circle from the top.
Stuff in your tomato mixture and place a wedge of triangle tortilla chip.
The St. Francis Crab Cakes
- 8 oz. Canned, well drained and cleaned "Dungeness Crab",
- 1 tbsp. Red Pepper, fine diced
- 2 tsp. Red Onion, fine diced
- 1.5 tsp. Shallots, diced
- 1 tsp. Chives, chopped
- 1 tbsp. Parsley, fresh, chopped
- 1 tsp. Thai Chili Sauce
- 1/8 tsp. White Pepper
- 2 tbsp. Mayonnaise, extra heavy
- 2 tbsp. Asian pear, fine diced
- 1 tbsp. Bread crumbs
Put crabmeat in a bowl, add the rest of the ingredients, mix well.
Taste for seasoning.
Shape into 1.2 oz. cakes.
Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet until hot.
Add crab cakes and sauté until golden brown and turn over and repeat.
