Edgerly to postpone retirement

Oakland's emabattled city administrator has postponed her retirement, scheduled for the end of July.

Deborah Edgerly was placed on paid administrative leave on Friday by Mayor Ron Dellums. She faces allegations of interfering with a police investigation in which her nephew was arrested.

In a letter to the city council. Edgerly denied any wrongdoing and said she wants to keep her job until she has the chance to repair her reputation.
