ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included, but not limited to):
Must be able to proficiently operate Master Control automation systems, servers, tape machines, routers, switchers,
waveform monitors, vectorscopes, keyers, etc.
Perform EAS alerts and tests on all local channels as per FCC guidelines.
Operate Master Control Switchers in a live environment, coordinating with the Director and/or Producer from
the production control room to air local news, breaking news and other local programming content.
Monitor Closed Captioning during all programming.
Monitor and control of the stations transmitters including raising and lowering power output, changing antennas,
multiplexing and all other transmitter functions that are operator controllable. Contact Engineering whenever it is
necessary to make any changes to the transmitter!
Communicate any programming discrepancies to the stations Traffic department in a timely manner.
Communicate any technical issues to the Engineering department in a timely manner.
Must be able to monitor and control multiple program streams to ensure that program continuity is met and that
program and interstitial material is aired.
Must be able to read and comprehend written program 'groundrules' and join programs in progress when necessary.
Activate and monitor SAP audio when applicable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master Control and computer experience within a television/broadcast environment.
Must be willing and able to work nights, holidays and weekends.
Detail oriented.
Possess working knowledge of broadcast equipment and procedures.
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
Background check clearance.
