The shooting was reported at about 1:30 a.m. outside the Manila Garden Restaurant at 20500 Hesperian Blvd.
Police said a security guard for the restaurant, which features karaoke and dancing on the weekends, exited the business after hearing gunshots outside and saw 18-year-old Oakland resident Adrian Dantoc firing a gun.
The security officer drew his gun and ordered Dantoc to drop his weapon but Dantoc allegedly shot at him. The security officer returned fire and Dantoc was struck in the leg.
Dantoc then fled in a vehicle with John Catolos and Julian Logan, both 19-year-old Oakland residents, to a home in the 900 block of Lester Avenue, police said.
A resident of the home called police after seeing Dantoc's wound, and responding officers arrested the three men while arranging for medical treatment for Dantoc.
Investigators were told by the three victims, ages 17, 23 and 41, that they had been riding bicycles through the restaurant parking lot when the suspects confronted them, according to police.
One of the suspects assaulted one of the victims, leading to a physical altercation, according to police. Dantoc then allegedly retrieved a gun from a nearby car and shot the three victims multiple times.
The 17-year-old and 23-year-old were treated and released over the weekend and the 41-year-old victim suffered major injuries but is expected to survive, according to police.
Dantoc, Catolos and Logan were booked into the Santa Rita jail on four counts of attempted murder, police said.
Police said the security guard, a 45-year-old Hayward man, was certified to carry a gun and that investigators determined he was justified in discharging his firearm.
