About the "Sarah & Vinnie" Show:
After a 6 year hiatus, once again the San Francisco Bay Area wakes up with "Sarah & Vinnie" on Alice @ 97.3. Sarah & Vinnie's amazing chemistry and compelling conversational style make them the top morning show with adults 25-34, a perfect match with Alice's Modern Hot AC format. The Morning Show has also been voted as the best AM show by a multitude of media.
Sarah Clark, a native of Boston, began her radio career in her hometown. As an up and coming morning show jock in Philadelphia she discovered Vinnie, a southern California native, after culling through thousands of potential co-host tapes. At the first audition - Sarah knew she found "the one." In 1997, after a year together in Philadelphia, Sarah & Vinnie landed in San Francisco. The show dominated the market for 5 years - until Vinnie hit a personal hurdle that landed him off-air.
Sarah plays in a band called Slappy, has a band set up in her home and lives for karaoke with her kids.
Vinnie Hasson in his own words:
I grew up in Orange County, California into punk rock, surfing and skateboarding. Radio found me through surfing. I started doing surf reports on KIOZ in San Diego while going to Mira Costa College and working at a surf shop in Cardiff by The Sea, CA. After about six years at KIOZ I left for Philadelphia to work with Sarah on WDRE. We did mornings together for only a few months when DRE sold, flipped formats and we were told to find new jobs. I spent the next five years hosting "Sarah and Vinnie" on Alice 97.3 in San Francisco. After taking time off to "get healthy" I hosted mornings on KNRQ in Oregon and now I'm blessed with a second chance to work with Sarah on Alice, back home in San Francisco. Outside of work I enjoy music and going to shows, I exercise daily and eat healthy, play golf and guitar, I read everything, I don't drink or smoke cigs and I still surf and skateboard every chance I get.
