A Santa Clara County judge ruled that Paul Dhaliwal violated his probation multiple times and sentenced him to 16 months in state prison.
Dhaliwal was serving three years probation for a high speed police chase several months before the tiger attack.
In Dec., a 250-pound Siberian tiger escaped from its pen and mauled 17-year-old Carlos Sousa to death and injured Paul and his brother Kulbir Dhaliwal.
Kulbir Dhaliwal will be in Santa Clara County court Monday on charges of public drunkenness and resisting arrest during an incident last September.
