The sheriff's office received a call at 11:24 p.m. Sunday from someone reporting a disturbance in the unit block of Hill Street in unincorporated Bay Point, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
When deputies arrived, they found 25-year-old Darrell Woods fatally stabbed in front of a residence, Lee said.
Terry said investigators were still interviewing a number of uncooperative witnesses in connection with the incident.
They have only been able to determine that Woods and Munson, both Bay Point residents, got into a "dispute over nothing in particular" that escalated into violence, Terry said.
