Paris Moffett, who according to city officials was a leader of the Eddy Rock gang -- one of three gangs barred by the city of San Francisco from activity in the Western Addition -- pleaded guilty Sept. 10 in U.S. District Court in San Francisco to possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute and to possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Moffett, 29, was arrested Nov. 28 at his home in Novato, according to police, who seized crack cocaine and ecstasy from the residence. A woman also believed to have been living there, Delicia Mitchell, 35, was also arrested.
Police said at the time that Moffett's arrest would significantly impact drug sales in Western Addition housing developments.
According to federal prosecutors, Moffett admitted to possessing about six and a half ounces of crack cocaine that he intended to distribute. He also admitted to possessing a loaded Colt .45-caliber semi-automatic pistol.
Mitchell also pleaded guilty Sept. 10 to possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute, prosecutors said.
Moffett is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 14. He faces a minimum 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison, along with a maximum $4 million fine, according to the Department of Justice.
