The USGS is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 struck at about 4:15 a.m.

According to the USGS, the earthquake had a depth of 1.1 miles and was centered 2 miles east of the Geysers and 14 miles east of Cloverdale.
About two minutes earlier, the USGS also reported an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.0 struck in the same area.
According to the USGS, the earlier earthquake had a depth of 1.5 miles and was centered 3 miles north-northwest of the Geysers and 11 miles east-northeast of Cloverdale.
