kgo

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Researchers at the University of Virginia studied the homes of people with colds and found that germs can live for two days or more on certain items including:

  • TV remote controls
  • Salt and pepper shakers
  • Light Switches
  • Door knobs
  • Phones
  • Refrigerator door handles
  • Bathroom faucets

Regularly wiping these items down can help prevent the spread of germs.
