Fairfield police, along with Alcoholic Beverage Control investigators, arrested 10 people, including a man suspected of a rape committed in Vallejo, for furnishing alcohol to minors during several sting operations at various local stores in October.

The sting operation, known as a "shoulder tap" sting, is meant to deter people from buying alcohol to minors, and uses an underage decoy to solicit adults to buy them alcohol, according to police.

Raul Miranda was one of the 10 people arrested during the October sting operations. Vallejo police were searching for Miranda, who was the main suspect in a rape case earlier in October.

Fairfield police said that they would continue to combine their efforts with the Alcoholic Beverage Control agency to reduce alcohol-related crimes in the city.
