Fog advisories for Bay Area bridges

The California Highway Patrol has issued a fog advisory this morning for four Bay Area bridges because of low visibility for drivers, according to a CHP officer.

A fog advisory was issued for the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge at about 1:55 a.m., according to CHP Officer Robert Haven.

Fog advisories were also issued for the San Rafael-Richmond, Carquinez, and Alfred Zampa Memorial bridges at about 2:20 a.m., Haven said.

Haven said that the advisories were issued because visibility was down to about 50-100 feet in some areas of the bridges because of the fog.
