Officers responded to a shooting at 3740 Laguna Ave. at about 11:30 p.m.
Arriving officers found Michael Porcella unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound, police spokesman Jeff Thomason said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers subsequently arrested Rennie Pratt, 28, of Oakland, in connection with the shooting.
