Dwight Bentel, who helped found the journalism department and the Spartan Daily newspaper is celebrating his 100th birthday.
The party is called "A Night With Dwight -- 100 Years of Black and White." He is being honored for over 75-years of service to the university and the community.
The money raised at Thursday night's party will go to the school's journalism and communications department.
