Teens caught stealing from business

Officers were dispatched to Street Beats, located at 1860 N. Main St., at about 12:50 a.m. regarding a burglar alarm that had been activated.

Officers Gavin McVeigh and Mario Reyes were one block away when they received the call. Upon arrival, they allegedly saw a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy running from the parking lot of the business.

Officers caught both teenagers and stolen property was recovered, according to police.

Both teens were booked into Monterey County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, probation violation and street gang enhancement.
