Firefighters quickly control triplex blaze

Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a triplex in Oakland Wednesday morning, a fire dispatcher said.

Firefighters responded to reports of flames in a three-unit building at 444 Elwood Ave. at about 2:05 a.m., the dispatcher said. The fire was controlled by 2:20 a.m.

No injuries were reported and damage appeared to be limited to just one unit, the dispatcher said.
