Redwood City plans DUI checkpoint Friday

The Redwood City Police Department will conduct a DUI sobriety checkpoint Friday night in an effort to keep drunken drivers off the roads.

The checkpoint will take place in the 300 block of westbound Woodside Road, according to police.

The DUI checkpoint is part of a traffic safety grant acquired from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency.
