The ribbon was cut on one Thursday at Geary and Arguello. Eventually, this type of bus stop will replace more than 1,000 around the city.

Solar energy powers the lights and bus route information systems. The lights are energy efficient. Muni is also testing Wi-Fi connections so people waiting for a bus can use their mobile devices or laptops.
