Westbound lanes of Highway 80 will be closed from 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. and eastbound lanes will be closed from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m., according to Caltrans spokesman Allyn Amsk.

During those hours, traffic will be detoured around the closure, but drivers should expect delays.

In January, Caltrans removed the eastbound Hilltop Drive over crossing and restriped the westbound Hilltop Drive over crossing for two-way traffic.

Crews have since begun construction on a new eastbound Hilltop Drive over crossing, which is expected to be complete in August or early September, Amsk said.
