The Marin County District Attorney has charged 43-year-old Edward John Schaefer with second degree murder, after learning he's had at least six prior drunk driving convictions.
Witnesses say Schaefer slammed his motorcycle into Melody Osheroff and her father, Aaron, while they were in a crosswalk Wednesday night.
The D.A. says Schaefer's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
