Simpler, healthier ways to detox your body

Detox Tips:

*Water - Drink warm water throughout the day - room temp or warmer -closer to body temp is better -- Dilates your cells to more easily flush your lymphatic -- 8 glasses or drink half your body weight in oz. (100 pounds you would drink 50 oz)

*Drink Dandelion Tea - it's an amazing liver detox

*Increase spicy vegetables -- which stimulates toxic flush... .fresh ginger, ginger tea, cayenne pepper, fresh radish, dandelion greens (whole foods/farmers mkt) or dandelion root tea (probably at speciality- whole foods) purifies the blood. Promotes bile formation.

*Eat Your Green Leafy vegetables - Aids in lung and liver detox; provides fiber, vitamins and minerals to cells for re-growth. Eat more organically. Non-organic is loaded with toxins... In season, organic will be cheaper... have 40% more antioxidants

*Beware THE DIRTY DOZEN -- The Environmental Working Group has put out a list of a dozen fruits and veggies should you ALWAYS ONLY buy organically because they're the highest holder of toxins and pollutants:

  • Peaches
  • Apples
  • Bell Peppers
  • Celery
  • Nectarines
  • Strawberries
  • Cherries
  • Kale
  • Lettuce
  • Grapes (Imported)
  • Carrots
  • Pear

*Eat more fiber - whole grain and beans -- like Ezekiel bread (Trader Joes carries it) or any kind of sprouted grain is very good. Beans, Legumes and Grains are loaded with fiber to gently clean out your system naturally -- Quinoa is awesome

*Avoid high allergen and stimulating foods like sugar, caffeine, wheat, dairy -- NO DIET SODAS or ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS (These are all mucous forming foods that can bog down your system and create unwanted congestion )

*Cut out low-quality oil. No vegetable/canola/safflower oils -- they're all highly refined oils -- could be carcinogenic. Also, they have been de-odorized to mask rancidity. Use olive oil but not at high heat……high heat use organic butter or coconut oil

*Sweat in a sauna so your body can eliminate waste through perspiration.
