Cyclist hit by Caltrain in San Jose

The bicyclist went around the lowered gates at the Auzerais Avenue crossing just south of the station around 4:10 p.m., Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

The train was not in service and had no passengers on board, Dunn said.

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority is providing bus bridges for passengers in both directions between the Tamien and Diridon stations.
