William White was arrested after the shooting, which was reported at about 8:50 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of Minner Avenue.

Officers responding to reports of a domestic dispute learned that White had been drinking alcohol all day and had fired off multiple rounds from a shotgun, according to police.

White's wife and adult children fled the home and called Antioch police for assistance. They were not injured.

Officers surrounded the home and found White hiding in a ditch behind the home. He refused commands to surrender, and was eventually bitten by a police K9 and taken into custody, police said.

Inside the home, officers found damage to the walls from shotgun blasts as well as several firearms, which were confiscated by Antioch police.

White was treated at Sutter Delta Memorial Hospital and later sent to the Martinez Detention Facility on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
