Woman hit twice by random gunshots

Officers responded to several reports of shots fired in the 2400 block of Silveria Way just past midnight, according to the Antioch Police Department. Arriving officers found an 18-year-old woman suffering gunshot wounds in both legs.

According to police, the woman was at a party when a fight broke out in front of a house on Silveria Way. She was not directly involved in the confrontation but was shot randomly as a result of it. Several houses and cars in the area were also hit.

The woman was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police made no arrests, and are asking anyone who witnessed the fight or who might have information about it to contact the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.
