Police responded to several calls reporting a large fight in the 100 block of Sunset Lane at around 9:10 p.m., according to the Vacaville Police Department. Witnesses told police that several men who were hitting each other with sticks and clubs had fled just before they arrived, some of them in a truck.

Police subsequently stopped a truck leaving the area that matched witness descriptions, and detained six men and two juveniles believed to have been a part of the fight.
According to police, the suspects were later determined to be members of the Norteno street gang, and were arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, participating in a criminal street gang and conspiracy. The juvenile suspects were also arrested for violating probation.
