At around 1:40 p.m., units from Napa County Fire Department responded to a report of a commercial structure fire at the Napa County Recycling and Waste Services processing center located at 820 Levitin Way, according to the fire department.

Arriving crews reported seeing smoke coming from a recycling area. Further investigation led firefighters to a cardboard collection area that had ignited in nearly 2 tons of combustible material.

A front-loading tractor vehicle was used to remove and redistribute burning debris while firefighters from Cal Fire, Napa County, and American Canyon fire departments doused the flames with fire hoses.

The blaze was extinguished without causing any injuries, according to Cal Fire.

The incident remains under investigation.
