The captain of the Northern Station on Fillmore says one of his officers returned from a trip to Mexico last week, and two days later he started showing symptoms of the H1N1 virus.
A total of five officers who all work the same shift at that station are now ill.
They must all be cleared by the department's doctor before they can return to work.
