Father-daughter team charged with fraud

An East Bay father-daughter team is accused of defrauding investors out of nearly $3 million.

Nasser and Sholeh Hamedani of Danville are each facing 12 charges -- including securities fraud, obstruction of justice and conspiracy.

Prosecutors say the pair stole from people who invested in their Internet startup company. The Children's Internet, Inc. was intended to develop software to protect kids from inappropriate content online.
