On Wednesday county weights and measures investigators said many Starbucks stores were violating that law.

A survey of 80 stores found more than half denied customers cash back as required.

Starbucks has agreed to pay a $225,000 fine to settle the matter.

Starbucks said it has been training clerks how and when to give cash back, but now will step up that training.
