Tents, restaurants and stages are being set up now. Outside Lands will have eight stages across the polo field, Speedway and Lindley meadow.
Last year, was very successful, but some neighbors complained about the noise and the litter. Improvements are planned this year.
"I think our plan to make sure we keep the park clean, is a little bit more robust and we're always working on crowd control. We want to have as little impact on the Richmond and Sunset communities as we can possibly have," says Phil Ginsburg with the recreation and parks department.
And they plan to direct the sounds to the west toward the ocean instead of toward the neighbors. 100,000 people are expected. Top performers include the Black Eyed Peas and the Dave Matthews Band.
