Cal State students and faculty protest cuts

Demonstrators at San Jose State say the cuts mean fewer and larger classes. They're also protesting an under-grad fee increase of $160 a year, bringing the cost of registration to nearly $2,500.

Students are now paying 30 percent more for fewer hours of education.

Cal State has also imposed nine mandatory faculty furlough days that will cost instructors about nine percent of their salaries.
