Gubernatorial candidates talk policy

Four of the major candidates running for governor participated in a Silicon Valley policy forum at Santa Clara University Wednesday.

State Attorney General Jerry Brown was on a panel for energy and the environment. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom participated in discussions on education and the workforce.

On the Republican side, insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner was a part of a panel on housing and transportation and former Congressman Tom Campbell discussed taxes and regulation.

Wednesday's event was hosted by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.
