There have been warnings about this for years and on Monday ABC's Good Morning America aired a consumer challenge. They had a used car line up and consumers told to pick out the car that had been totaled. Not one of the contestants could do so.
Every year, more than 2.5 million salvaged vehicles are sold to unsuspecting consumers. Some were in accidents, others have hidden corrosion from floods. So before buying a used vehicle get a car history report and an inspection by a mechanic.
