Two days ago, workers at the Sunnyvale Recycling Station found the money while sorting through newspapers and aluminum cans.
So far, no one has come forward to claim the money. Police and the FBI are checking serial numbers to see if the loot was stolen.
The rightful owner has 90 days to claim the money, but they had better have evidence. If no one claims it, the money goes into the city's general fund.
