Saturday's parents' meeting at Richmond High School was an opportunity for people to talk about things. The attack happened on campus during the homecoming dance last Saturday night.

Reverend Jim Wheeler of First Presbyterian Church read a statement from the girls' parents at the meeting.

"Please do not respond to this tragic event by promoting hatred or by causing more pain. We've had enough violence already in this place. If you need to express your outrage please channel your anger into positive action," he said.

One of the six suspects was released from jail Friday night due to a lack of evidence. Richmond police are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any others involved in the attack.
