Just before 9:00 Thursday morning San Jose firefighters responded to a report of smoke at Joe West Hall.
They found a small fire in a trash can on the dorm's 5th floor, minutes later a second fire was reported in a trash can on the 7th floor.
Officials decided to evacuate the dorm as a precaution. Firefighters were called to the same dorm back on November 3rd for an intentionally set trash can fire.
Nobody was injured by any of the fires.
