A mosque outside Sacramento is secretly controlled by the Iranian government. At least that's the claim of federal agents, who swooped in on it on Thursday.

The government is also trying to seize a New York high rise owned by the Alavi Foundation.

That group is accused of funneling millions of dollars to Iran.

In addition to the mosque in suburban Sacramento, federal agents raided Alavi-owned mosques in New York City, Houston and Maryland.

The U.S. attorney's office says the mosques are free to remain open for worship.
