Governor Schwarzenegger will induct Harvey Milk and 12 other Californians into the State Hall of Fame on Tuesday night.

Milk, a former San Francisco city supervisor, was one of the country's first openly gay politicians. He and Mayor George Moscone were assassinated at city hall in 1978.

The governor and first lady Maria Shriver will recognize his achievements at the California Museum in Sacramento.

Also being inducted will be filmmaker George Lucas, author Danielle Steele, comedienne Carol Burnett, football icon John Madden and philanthropist Joan Kroc, along with seven others.
