Some students are getting extra time to apply to the University of California.

UC officials decided to extend the Fall admissions deadline after a computer glitch blocked some students from filing their application online by late Monday night as required. Prospective students now have until one minute before midnight Wednesday night to apply.

Through Tuesday evening, the schools had received about 129,000 applications for freshman and transfer spots compared to just under 127,000 last year.
