Specifically, the thieves are targeting Acura sedans.
The thieves work in the middle of the night, stealing all four wheels. They have been taken off cars in Concord and Walnut Creek, apparently for re-sale.
Police have no suspect descriptions.
They suggest car owners with expensive rims and tires get locking lug nuts and to report any suspicious activity they may see.
