The 2010 Silicon Valley International Auto Show is opening at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center.

People who want a peek at new model vehicles will be there. Demonstrators are also expected this year.

The international show will attract fans or shoppers who want to get a close up look or climb into hundreds of brand new cars, trucks, SUV's and green technology vehicles will be on display.

Workers from the NUMMI plant in Fremont also will also be there.

They're asking people to sign a petition pledge not to purchase Toyota products unless Toyota rescinds its decision to close down its South Bay plant in April.
