Study: Phone radiation protects mice from Alzheimer's

FLORIDA

Researchers at the University of South Florida say radiation from phones protected lab mice from Alzheimer's disease, and even reversed the symptoms.

Somehow electromagnetic waves broke down plaques in the mouse brain.

The head of the Alzheimer's Association says the work deserves further study, but he cautions against anyone trying to self-medicate by spending extra time on a cell phone.

The study is found in this month's issue of the "Journal of Alzheimer's Disease".
