Chocolate cream puffs
Yield: 6 servings
Basic chocolate mousse is used as the filling for these heavenly cream puffs. Refrigerate any leftover filling and enjoy it as a bonus dessert!
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 6 frozen puff pastry shells
- Grated semi-sweet chocolate for garnish
- Pre heat the oven to 400F
- Place the pastry shells into the oven
- Put the chocolate in a double boiler to melt it
- Whip the cream
- Fold the chocolate in the cream. This is a two step process.
- Remove the puff pastry top, hollowing out the shell.
- Fill the shell with the chocolate mousse.
- Garnish with grated chocolate, and top with a strawberry
