Firefighters extinguish Redwood city house fire

Firefighters extinguished a fire less than 30 minutes after it was reported at a home in Redwood City Saturday afternoon, according to fire officials.

The blaze was reported at 1:55 p.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Glenn Way, fire officials said.

Firefighters found flames in the living room, as well as heavy heat and smoke throughout the rest of the home. The fire was controlled at 2:22 p.m., according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported. The blaze is estimated to have caused about $350,000 in damage to the structure of the home, as well as $150,000 to its contents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to fire officials.
